Escherland is a Deathmatch level designed
to precisely recreate the appearance and impossiblity
of a Black-and White Escher print. It
features severe space twisting and hyperdimensional folding!

hyperspace Flag Capturing struggle that
features zero gravity and references to famous science fiction works!

The year is 1969. It's the 'Future That
Was' aboard the Super Ultra Groovy "MOD
Station Five", the swinginest place in
Near Earth Orbit! Only...something has
gone wrong and very un-60's mayhem ensues!
This is an effort to create the rounded,
curving, sterile white with primary colors
world of cheesy 60's Sci-Fi and Spy-Fi
motion pictures. High budgets but silly design
made for wasted space, but cool curves
and flowing shapes. If you have seen a 60's French
or Italian space movie, you will be at
home in Mod Station Five!

Based on the brilliant series of Multiple
Universe novels by golden age science fiction master
Phillip Jose Farmer, 'Alofmethbin'
includes far more than just the one pocket universe
of that name. Included also are the famous
'Lavalite World', 'Urizen's Universe' and
even the artificial universe that is Earth.
The story behind all of this is that some
50 millennia in the past, pocket universes were
manufactured to suit the whims of an untold
number of customers. These universes, ruled by
their immortalized Lords, gradually fell
into ruin as their human masters gradually went insane
from both the power of playing gods, and
from the complexities of immortality. Now the Lords
play deadly games with each other, trying
to kill each other off, and risking death in return,
with the pocket universes themselves as
the ultimate prize!
This Unreal Tournament level is directly
based on the 'Tiers' series of books
by Philip Jose Farmer:
The World Of Tiers
A Private Cosmos
Behind The Walls Of Terra
The Lavalite World
More Than Fire
These books have also been collected in
collection form by Guild America Books
with 'More Than Fire' published by Tor
Phillip Jose Farmer is one of the most
respected science fiction authors in the world, a contemporary
of such notables as Issac Asimov and Robert
Heinlein. Good luck finding his works, though,
in an age where 'sci-fi' about 'elves
in space' dominates the marketplace!

Clayland Nuclear DodgeBall is a very simple
little map, suggested by my friend Dov Sherman.
The basic idea of the map is to force
two teams of players to guard each other in
a confined, dangerous environment. Players
must, in order to survive, use sniping to
stop falling nukes, which means that wise
players will divide up tasks.
In effect, the level is a very concentrated
arcade 'Missile Command' game.
The graphics are an homage to 'The Neverhood'...everything
is made of clay.

Rollerball is, of course, based on the
famous movie taken from the famous book. This Unreal
Tournament version of the quintessential
Brutal Blood Sport features a banked roller-derby track, the
effect of roller skates, and super-speed
Zip Zones for making fast moves. A simple, brutal, lethal little map...just
like the game 'Rollerball' itself, only using flags in place of the cannon
ball.
ROLLERFLAG! When Balls Are Not Enough.
