PROJECT ENDED!
KOKORO WISH THE RPG IS NO MORE!

Total information is now!

Kokoro Wish is the creation of Accursed Toys, Inc.

KOKORO WISH As an RPG is over. It will not be finished or developed further.

WHY?

We are sorry for the sadness this may cause some of our more ardent fans.  We will not be making an anime RPG any longer. The reasons are complex, Personal, and involve much sorrow and pain.

ADDENDUM

In just the first hours of posting the above, I have been stunned by the sheer number of people who clearly cared very, very much about the Kokoro Wish project. It has only been a handful of hours, and yet so many have written in.  I had no idea so many people cared so very much. I was astounded to learn that many people checked this site every day, even though updates to it have been rare, to say the least. Some of the letters, all kindly, some poetic, floor me. All want one thing ... more information, a reason why this event has occured.

I will offer you all this one thing: the text of one the best responses I sent one such person about the death of Kokoro Wish ... .

The ending of my RPG project is a heartbreak for me, a grave one. I fought for 14 years to get to create my game. My family has funded four attempts over the years, where our entire world revolved around producing it ...  under whatever name it had at the time.  Each time events conspired to prevent success. Ultimately though, the problem lay with certain people who could not be trusted to do their jobs.
This has broken my heart.

If I were a puppy, and my dream RPG project were my favorite stick, imagine me being repeatedly beaten with it. After 14 years of this, I am a very old dog, who -no matter how much I used to love chasing sticks- finds no joy in my favorite stick any longer. I realized finally that I simply could not stand being beaten any longer. Besides, so many, many wonderful RPG's exist now, beyond any dreams of perfection, that there is little to fight for anymore. In the 1980's, my creation would have made me incomprehensibly rich, powerful and respected. In 2000, it would be freeware that barely a few thousand people would ever download and play.

14 years is long enough to claim a noble fight. I do not think any soul could rationally call me a quitter, or berate me for failing to try hard enough. I have fought on for my dream far longer than I really should have, in fact. It just hurts too much. I cannot take the disappointment any longer. So that is why I am moving on. As it is, it has taken nearly two years just for the current 'Kokoro Wish' design to reach a state roughly one-fourth to one-third done, and that with supposedly full-time effort. I may be a dreamer, but I am also rational. It is not going to happen.

I am very sorry to disappoint anyone over this. I just cannot face that stick anymore. Woof. Hopefully, I will someday make other, albeit simpler, very nice things.
